Pilates benefits every body–including yours!

Pilates is exercise for your mind, body, and spirit, but what if your body won’t cooperate?     I love this Pilates instructor's, thoughtful, diverse, and interesting look at the discipline. It is different from my prior instruction sets but I loved the Pinterest exercises and decided to try it. The book exercises provide various levels of intensity, it is easy to mix and match, and the instructions are easy to understand. The only improvement would be to include one thing: I like when I am told when to breath to maximize the benefits of Pilates. Without the breathing instructions, the book remains EXCELLENT. How that is true...She actually knows what she is doing with the variety provided. This is a great gift for yourself or others.

    I absolutely love the book. It is very well organized and there is literally a modification for everyone. The pictures are great and the models are very diverse. One of the models is even an amputee. The exercises are organized in such a way as to group them in “floor”, “chair”, or “standing” categories. I have never thought of doing Pilates standing or in a chair. Now I do it in my office too! The only thing I would change would be to make an option for spiral binding so that the book could be laid flat. I think every exercise book should have an option for spiral binding.

    Pilates for Everyone is a breath of fresh air! It takes the mystery out of Pilates, which has been perceived as an elite form of exercise, and makes it accessible to everyone, no matter your body type or fitness level. With warmth and clarity, Micki meets you where you providing insightful, understandable, and actionable stretches and exercises that anyone can do from home. I was especially surprised by how the slow, intentional movements worked muscles that I didn't even know I had! Great for building core strength, stamina, and flexibility. I highly recommend Pilates for Everyone!

Often times we find certain movement intimidating and unapproachable. Micki has managed to break each exercise down, offer variations and more importantly, make Pilates accessible to all. Bravo!!

    I love the "can do" attitude of this book. I've always found Pilates interesting but some of the moves can be quite intimidating. Micki breaks signature Pilates moves down so they are attainable for any level, any setting, and any body type. The book is wonderfully organized and the pictures are vibrant and beautiful. It's a great addition to your fitness library.

Pilates For Eveyone is a great and useful book. I like it that the exercises shown in pictures, well explained and they all have adaptations, modifications and progressions which make them suitable for different types of pilates participants.     I’ve been an avid gym goer for the past 13 years. Pilates for Everyone gave me just what I needed to change up my workout routine. The book is well-written. The exercises are simple, yet effective. It was awesome to see so many different body types, young and old, male and female benefitting from this type of physical fitness. I highly recommend this book to newcomers as well as seasoned professionals.

I have practiced pilates for years but this book insures you have a solid foundation along with different variations. I was pleasantly surprised to see people of different sizes and abilities.     As a Pilates studio owner, and teacher for 20 years, I am delighted to see a book like this FINALLY available. Pilates really is for everyone & Micki Havard has beautifully and accurately demonstrated this in her book. It is inclusive and instructional in a way that most Pilates books fall short; quite simply it is what we need to see more of in the fitness world. This will be required reading for my teachers-in-training and I will share it & recommend it frequently.

    Love this! I’m a big Pilates enthusiast and agree that it is most often portrayed as something for only a select few. This book clearly demonstrates all sorts of people doing Pilates, full out and with modifications. Definitely a great guide and hopefully can show how Pilates is beneficial no matter who you are.
