Many people who run are highly competitive and hungry for any edge over others. That’s where this book comes in–it offers them a way of remaining injury free and becoming stronger than their opponents. Not everyone wants to attend a class or can make the time to get to one. This runner-friendly book will save you time and money on injury specialists–an immediately accessible reference for time-poor runners.
The Pilates exercises feature photographs of real runners of all ages with accompanying, simply written instructions and adaptations. Another feature will be the motivational interviews with real runners who have benefited from practicing Pilates.

This is a must buy for anyone who runs to help keep you at your best. It is also a great book for anyone interested in taking up pilates as the different techniques have benefits for everyone not just runners.
This book is a must buy for everyone!!!
Well written with great illustrations.
Bottom line...if you run....BUY this book.
You can also search for the exercise to help an existing injury, this is really useful as most runners I know discover Pilates because they've broken or strained some vital bit of their body, and want to mend it asap. If your ITB is being a pain then you need page 167, for Piriformis problems you need page 165. You don't have to trawl through endless chapters and chatter to find what you want.
Each exercise is well explained and shown, with modifications to ensure you get maximum benefit and don't make any existing problem worse. I need pictures, just words are not enough when you're trying to imagine the position your body is supposed be in.
