In fact, the every single exercise is very easy to do and Joe also included pictures so you can understand better. In there, he also help you formulate a 9 minute stretching routine that you can do daily or whenever. I found the stretch exercises very useful and I have been using them for months. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

    If you like to understand what you're doing and why you're doing it, this is the stretching book for you. Joe Yoon knows his stuff, and knows how to make it clear to the average person. The illustrations are very clear and well-printed, no grainy black-and-white stuff. And Yoon explains how each stretch works, what the goal is, how it should feel, and why it's important. This is a keeper for anyone's exercise library.

    Dr Jay is amazing! This is a great book to help get started with some stretch routines and really lays out different stretches for different areas as well as some routines to use to get started. From there you'll be able to see what works best for each individual and build your own routine. This has helped greatly in recovery and building some healthy habits around relieving the soreness from having a desk bound job. It includes some stretches for at the desk and has the material that I've built a post-work routine in the afternoon.

    Deffo recommend.

    I have a great deal of trouble with my hips, which has only been amplified by working in our garden this year, along with extreme tension in my neck. My oldest son has growth issues and his legs could benefit from stretches, too. Most especially for those reasons, I was thrilled to see all the stretches within this book. They each focus on different parts of the body, which is incredibly beneficial. Each stretch has a set of photos to help visualize what needs to be done. Each one also tells what the target area is for that stretch, the name and description of it, along with cues(tips). The book teaches that with just 9 minutes a day, great results can be found. Thankfully, there are 3(Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced), 30 day routines in the back, which is great for those like me that wouldn't otherwise know how to mix and match the stretches properly to get those 9 minutes in. It's a wonderful resource, both for specific parts that needs work, along with creating a daily routine of stretching.

    This book, Better Stretching: Nine Minutes a Day to Greater Flexibility, Less Pain, and Enhanced Performance the JoeTherapy Way does all it says it does. For each stretch, there is at least one full-color photograph and a clear description, which makes stretching easy. The stretches are organized in groups based upon the body part that the stretch focuses on. But not only does the author provide you with stretches. He also tells the importance of stretching and how to go about it. He adds that strength training is an important addition to stretching. He concludes his book with a description of tools that may help enhance stretching and how to use them. He also provides some nine-minute stretching and strengthening routines. What a helpful book!

    This book has a "just enough" amount of useful introductory and explanatory material, and then dives right into a well organized series of chapters (by body area) laying out a variety of stretches, as well some complementary strengthening and recovery (rollers, etc.) moves. It wraps with a nice variety of programs, as well as instructions on building your own programs. As promised, each program (including the make-your-own) should fit into about 9 minutes.

    I've been stretching as part of various sport and fitness activities since the 1980s, and this book still had lots of good ones I had not tried, all laid out with color photos and solid explanations, variations, and tips.

    The author also does a good job on not overselling what stretching can actually do for you. E.g., it can help with tight muscles that could contribute to back pain, but he's clear that there's no magic bullet that is guaranteed to cure anything.

    Overall, this is a really useful resource. I plan to run through some of his 30-day programs as well. Well done!

    I was in a hit and run that resulted in two herniated discs and sciatica and was constantly in pain. One day I found Joe's Instagram and tried out some of the stretches he demonstrated in his videos and it helped quite a bit. I have a bunch of his videos bookmarked, but it was always tedious trying to find the right one. When I heard he was coming out with a book, I was stoked! It is filled with great information and it's very easy to find the stretch you're looking for. Definitely more convenient!

    Found JoeTherapy on Instagram a while back, and loved his super helpful videos on stretching, muscle releases, strengthening, and how to improve on everyday posture/exercises. Due to my work, I often wake up stiff or feel tight after work. I have definitely improved from Joe's recommendations, and I'm so glad I got his book as a handy reference to target different areas of my body that I may need to focus on, but also working on my entire body. I like the jump start routine at the back of the book to help me develop a whole-body stretching routine. The pictures are clear to make sure I'm in the correct position, and descriptions/explanations of the target muscles are helpful! Recommended this book to my mom too!

He applies very easy to understand instructions and I have turned on many friends and fellow LE. Most recently I had my spine fused and my husband ruptured his Achilles’ tendon.....what’s next right? Now that my book arrived, my husband and I post operatively are obsessed with the various stretches and easy illustrations in this guide!     I have have been re-ended several times in the last four years by people on their phones! Put them down please. The pain and tightness in my back and neck had been growing worse in the last year. I started looking on Instagram for stretches and exercises to help my back and neck when I came across Joe's page. I had been starting the exercises when I noticed he had a book coming. I pre-ordered it and started the exercises the day it was delivered. I love how he has programs to follow. I also love how clear the illustrations and explanations of the exercises are. So far, my overall tightness has decreased in my whole body. The pain is also decreasing in my back and neck. The book is very well structured and easy to use.

    As someone whose job it is to sit in a chair all day, this book is a godsend. It is just enough information to tell you why and how to stretch but not so much information that you skip the reading portions. It is very well written and is easy to understand and has already made a difference in my well-being. The instructions are clear and the pictures are very helpful! My favorite part is the routine section in the back. I have five post-it note bookmarks numbered 1 through 5 and each week I have been moving them to the five stretches for that week. Makes it super simple to navigate through the routine, although by day 5 I had it memorized. I have been recommending this book to friends and family left and right! And now I am recommending it to you!

    Having neck, back, and hip issues (elementary teaching closing in on retirement), this book has been VERY helpful! I get up a little earlier each day to incorporate 10 minutes of stretching. It really helps me start my day well.

    This book breaks it down! Detailed explanations with photos of stretches for every area of the body, including stretches to help relieve carpal tunnel pain. Joe also puts together beginner, intermediate, and advanced stretching routines that take literally just minutes a day but are very effective. I am particularly fond of the strength training exercises he incorporates into the book.
    Highly recommend for anyone who needs some help increasing flexibility. This book is a welcomed edition to my fitness library.

    I love JoeTherapy on Instagram, so I pre-ordered his book and recently received it. I love having the book at my fingertips (guess I'm a little old school)! It is very well organized by body parts, so it's really easy to find the exact stretch you're looking for. The photos, cues and descriptions for each exercise make it very easy for anyone to follow along and perform the exercise properly. These stretches can help anyone, no matter your level of fitness, to be more flexible and generally feel better. Get this book now!!!

I have a bulging disc that has been bothering me for years and this book aligns very well with my wellness goals and recovery. I recommend grabbing some mini bands as well at his online store.
